Legal terms for the Slim utility apps from Localhost Ltd.
Slim utility apps (including Video & Photo Compress - Slim, Merge Split PDF - Slim, and Remove Photo Location - Slim) are Freemium apps. This Service is provided by Localhost Limited and is intended for use as is.
This page informs you about our policies on the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if you use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. Personal Information we handle is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information Collection and Use
Slim apps are designed to run on your device. Photos, videos, PDFs, and other files you import are processed locally. We do not upload your media or documents to our servers.
For a better experience, the app may store preferences, entitlements, and temporary working files on your device. That information stays on your device and is not collected by Localhost Limited.
Purchases (subscriptions or lifetime unlocks) are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple may share with us limited purchase and entitlement information needed to unlock Pro features and restore purchases.
Advertising
The free version of Slim apps shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers (including the advertising identifier if you allow tracking), IP address, and coarse usage data to serve and measure ads. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use their services.
You can manage ad consent in Settings (Manage ads) where Google’s privacy form is required (EEA/UK). You can also control tracking in iOS Settings. Buying Pro removes ads.
Media you import is still processed on your device and is not uploaded to Localhost Limited for advertising.
Log Data
We do not operate our own analytics or crash-reporting backend in Round 1.
If a future version uses third-party products for error diagnostics, those products may collect Log Data such as device type, operating system version, app configuration, time and date of use, and similar technical statistics. We will update this policy before enabling that.
Cookies
This Service does not use cookies explicitly. The app may rely on Apple frameworks and, in future, third-party libraries that store small identifiers on your device. You can control related system settings on your device; refusing some storage may limit parts of the Service (for example, restoring purchases).
Service Providers
We may use third-party companies and individuals to:
- Facilitate our Service (for example, Apple for App Store distribution and payments);
- Provide the Service on our behalf;
- Perform Service-related services; or
- Assist us in analyzing how our Service is used (only if we enable such tools and disclose them here).
These parties access Personal Information only to perform tasks for us and are obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes.
Security
We value your trust. Because processing happens on-device, your media is not transmitted to Localhost Limited. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your device or of data held by Apple or other providers you choose to use.

The Service may contain links to other sites (for example, this Privacy Policy page or support). External sites are not operated by us. Review their privacy policies; we assume no responsibility for third-party content, policies, or practices.
Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. Parents and guardians should help ensure children do not provide Personal Information through the Application without permission. If you believe a child has provided Personal Information to us, contact us and we will delete it where applicable.
You must also be at least 16 years of age to consent to processing of your personally identifiable information in your country (in some countries a parent or guardian may consent on your behalf).
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page. You are advised to review it periodically.
